Dympna exhibits in a number of galleries in Ireland. She has developed a style which favours the use of a palette knife in which colour is manipulated freely on the canvas, producing work in which a spontaneous expression of emerging forms is freely exploited. The focus of her work in recent years is an "expression of the spirit of Ireland, its magic, its unique character, its rolling hills - old black peatland and windswept seashores". Dympna's pieces are an "expression of the soul's response to the landscape".
